Community Manager - 32-40 uur (m/v)

Are you eager to work in a growing and flexible company as a (medior) Community Manager? We are looking for you for 32 to 40 hours a week. In this role, you are the central hub and connecting force within our communities. Does this sound like you? Read on!

What will you be doing?

At Unity Agency, we work with a variety of clients, each with their own unique needs. For one client, we might be launching a community from scratch, while for another, we’re strengthening an already thriving one.

As a (medior) Community Manager, you are the linchpin of your community. You know exactly what’s going on by actively engaging with members and turning those insights into action.

Your tasks include:

  • Community research: You identify what’s working well and where there are opportunities for improvement.
  • Developing strategies: Based on your findings, you create plans to strengthen the sense of connection within the community.
  • Organizing events: You facilitate meetups, both online and offline, to bring people together.
  • Sharing results: You stay in close contact with the client and demonstrate the impact you’re making.
  • Marketing & Communication: You’re responsible for clear and engaging communication within the community.
  • Internal organizational development: With your experience, you help Junior Community Managers do their work more easily and effectively by learning from your expertise.

Who are we?

We are Unity Agency, a young and dynamic company specialized in Community Building. As a (medior) Community Manager, you’ll work in a hybrid team, with at least two shared office days per week at StartUp Nijmegen.

We love collaboration and fun! We’re regulars at the StartUp social events, and if we can’t wait that long? We’ll organize something ourselves!

Our team includes Lieke, Sara, Eline, and Job. Job brings nearly 10 years of experience in Community Building, ensuring the team learns everything about connecting target groups. You’ll also get the chance to contribute to Unity Agency’s growth and help strengthen our team with your experience.

What do we ask from you?

  • You're social, creative, and bursting with energy;
  • You're independent, proactive, and solution-oriented;
  • You have at least 3-5 years of experience in community building or a similar role, such as Project Manager, Stakeholder or Partnership Manager, Relationship Manager, or Event Manager;
  • You’ve managed a team of juniors and/or interns;
  • You enjoy working in a start-up environment: dynamic, fast-paced, and full of challenges!

What do we offer?

  • Salary: €3,500 – €4,250 gross per month based on 40 hours, depending on your experience;
  • A 32–40 hour workweek;
  • 25 vacation days (pro rata);
