They encounter growing pains and lack a place where they can spar with like-minded people, exchange ideas and find practical tools. While communities already exist for start-ups, a network specifically aimed at scale-ups was missing. Job Valkenburg, Robert Meijerman and Sander Claus, with support from the Municipality of Nijmegen, saw this opportunity and developed and launched a new concept to connect growing entrepreneurs more with the region.
Scale&Grow responds to this need by providing a platform where scale-up entrepreneurs can come together to gain knowledge, network and support each other. The strength of this community lies in the combination of in-depth knowledge sessions, led by growth experts, and informal moments to spar and exchange experiences. In addition, an online component has been developed where entrepreneurs can share their questions, challenges and successes and have access to practical tools and valuable tips. This not only strengthens the mutual connection, but also ensures a continuous exchange of knowledge and experiences.
The Scale&Grow community meets monthly, with sessions alternating in format and focus. One month, we organise a breakfast session where entrepreneurs interact, build relationships and gain new insights in an informal setting. The next month is dedicated to a knowledge session, where current
topics are discussed under the guidance of a growth expert. These sessions not only provide valuable knowledge, but also stimulate mutual discussions and new perspectives. We are also regular guests of successful entrepreneurs from Nijmegen, who share their personal stories and lessons with the community. This not only provides inspiration, but also practical insights that can be directly applied in one’s own business.
