
Campercontact is a platform that runs entirely on user-generated content. With 1.6 million users already contributing from intrinsic motivation, the brand has a solid foundation. Yet hardly anything was done with this engagement. The only organised group consisted of 10 moderators, but with no clear strategy or guidance. The challenge was therefore to develop a complete community strategy and create more connection between Campercontact and its users.
Campercontact is a typical community of interest: users are connected by their shared passion for camping. This enthusiasm not only ensures a reliable platform with thousands of overnight locations, but also provides the opportunity to form a close-knit community. The insight here was that users become more engaged if they can actively contribute to the growth of the community. By giving them a bigger role, they not only feel connected to the brand, but also become true ambassadors. We harness their intrinsic motivation and create valuable brand experiences.
We have developed a clear roadmap for the community. This includes not only the further development of the platform, but also focuses on transforming users into true brand ambassadors. Volunteers take on tasks for Campercontact and together form an engaged community where camping enthusiasts meet and work together. To increase engagement, we deploy gamification as part of a smart community strategy. This ensures that users actively contribute and feel increasingly connected to Campercontact. Together, we build a strong, vibrant platform for all camping fans.
