Kanker.nl’s community is growing rapidly, just at a time when support and understanding are essential. We support the team to maintain that connection. With care, structure and attention, we ensure that the community remains active and each member is themselves.
The challenge
The Kanker.nl community continues to grow, especially at a time when people need support and connection more than ever. With more members and more interaction, the need for structure, moderation and attention also grows. When a community manager temporarily drops out, an additional challenge is added: how do you keep everything running without losing quality or warmth?
We support the team during this phase, keeping the community active and safe. We help absorb capacity, monitor processes and maintain the right tone in every contact moment. We do this with an eye for the people behind the scenes and the members who find daily support in the community. And even now that the capacity within the Kanker.nl team is back in order, we continue to provide support to further strengthen and sustainably grow the community.
The approach
Every community is different, and that requires a customized approach. At Kanker.nl, it is a community of circumstance: people who find each other because they are in the same, drastic situation. Working with this target group requires real involvement and a good sense of what they need.
Our role is to support both the community and the team, with empathy as a starting point and structure as a foothold. We strengthen the daily work of the community manager, help organize accessible activities that encourage connection, and together improve processes to make everything run more smoothly and efficiently. This keeps the community not only active, but also warm, safe and resilient
The result
Thanks to joint efforts, the Kanker.nl community not only keeps running, but grows in connection and trust. Members feel supported and heard, and the team again has the space to work with focus on what really matters: providing a safe place where people can find each other.
We are now a permanent link within the team. We ensure continuity, provide structure where necessary and continue to think along with the community about how it can be sustainably strengthened. This keeps the community not only active, but also truly connected, with each other and with the people behind Kanker.nl.
